Reentry
Hope Doesn’t Stop at the Prison Gate
When a graduate walks out of our faith-based dorm program, they carry something powerful with them — a renewed or reignited relationship with Christ, the experience of a safe and nurturing community, and a deep desire to live as a maturing Christian and a productive member of society. In short, they leave with godly hope for the future (Romans 15:13).
But hope alone doesn’t find them a job. It doesn’t secure housing. It doesn’t rebuild broken family relationships or hand them the keys to a church community that will walk alongside them.
The truth is many of our graduates step through those prison gates with joy in their hearts and uncertainty at their feet. No guaranteed home. No employment lined up. No support system waiting. The world outside can feel just as daunting as the world they left behind.
That’s why Reentry matters.
Where We Are Today
The God of Hope Ministries is first and foremost an in-prison discipleship ministry. While Reentry preparation is woven into our curriculum, we do not currently offer formal Reentry Services as part of our program — but we are deeply committed to making sure our graduates don’t walk that road alone.
We actively provide personalized recommendations and referrals to trusted Reentry ministries and resources throughout the Austin area, connecting graduates with the support they need to successfully reintegrate into society.
The Journey Continues
Our graduates have done the hard work of transformation. They deserve a community ready to receive them, walk with them, and cheer them forward.
If you or your organization would like to partner with us in serving our graduates as they reenter society, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can ensure that the hope they found inside the walls continues to flourish outside them.
